What I Photograph

I’m Regan, a photographer based in Encinitas. I shoot all over North County — Del Mar, Cardiff, Carlsbad, Olivenhain, Rancho Santa Fe — always around the best light of the day.

Horses

I know how to wait for the ears to come forward, how to keep a session calm around a spooky horse, and how different a horse looks when the person behind the camera actually understands them. Horse and rider portraits, barn sessions, and sale photos — great photos genuinely change how fast a horse sells, and I shoot them with that in mind.

Dogs

Action is the specialty — off-leash sprints, zoomies, the shake-off spray shot. I shoot low and fast at Del Mar Dog Beach, Cardiff, and Moonlight Beach. Bring treats and a toy that gets their ears up; crazy energy is welcome.

Pets at Home

Backyard sessions are underrated — pets relax at home, and relaxed pets make the best photos. Shy, reactive, ancient, or brand new, we go at their pace. Cats and small animals included.

People

Families: relaxed golden hour sessions at Moonlight Beach, Cardiff Reef, or Grandview. Mostly candids — walking, playing, the in-between moments — plus a few posed group shots so everyone gets the classic.

Seniors: the spots that feel like Encinitas — the Leucadia murals, Swami’s stairs, downtown under the sign. Bring what makes you you (a board, a ball, a guitar), and outfit changes are welcome.

Either way: dogs are invited by default, and if the weather turns we reschedule free.
